Welcome to the Farm!

We are a small farm located in Crofton, Kentucky.  We started out with just two Nigerian Dwarf bucklings with no plans to ever grow into a herd. It did not take long to realize goats are like chips… you can’t have just one or two, you’ve got to have more.  Simple goat math if you ask me.

Our five-acre homestead butts up against my family farm of over 150 acres.  Most of the property surrounding us is in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).  We are trying to do our part by removing environmentally sensitive land from agricultural production and plant species that will improve environmental health and quality.

Our farm that once was just Texas and Wesson is now a herd of over 30.  We pride ourselves in continuing to preserve the breed standard for Nigerian Dwarfs by offering quality animals that will be a fantastic addition to any herd.  We were planning to start milk testing in 2020 but Covid-19 put a halt to our plans.  While that portion of our homesteading is on hold, we will continue to strive to make that happen as soon as possible.  We do have potential to add milk stars to some of our ladies and I am super excited about that!

We know that not all families have interests in showing or milking, so we are happy to offer our unregistered stock as pets.  Here on our farm, you don’t have to have a fancy title to get the same love and affection the others do.  We will never treat any of our goats any differently based on their registration status.

Each year we try to improve our herd, in 2022 we are venturing out into the show world.  We don’t know what it has to offer us, but we are eager to have a new adventure to look forward to the ride.  One thing is for sure, we will do our best and learn a lot along the way.

The Lord will watch over you. Psalm: 121
